Scriptures About Greed

Comentary:

Greed comes in many forms. I have experienced greed in myself in the form of eating too much, wanting too much money, wanting the best equipment. I found when I got what I wanted I spent a lot of time worrying how to keep it and keep it safe. Who would try to take my money? Who would try to steal my equipment. In a sense I had become a slave to my stuff. So much so that to this day I am still trying to sell that stuff to get rid of it and to turn those funds to doing the will of God. Greed is so nasty as it is the cause of so many of the ills we all face today. the greed of the oil industry, the greed of insurance companies, lawyers, doctors, and everyone down to lowely me. But, no more. I am being moved by the Holy Spirit to get rid of my stuff, lighten my load to just one acoustic guitar and my bibles, and the basics of my tool set. After I have completed this I will still be dirt. But, this should help me to spend less time thinking of the things of the world and more time thinking about what is important "raising up my fellow human being", "Serving my brothers and sisters", "Loving God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit more than life itself." And then I will still be dirt, hopefully the dirt that will nourish a beautiful flower.
